Key Radio terminal equipment includes hand held portables, in-vehicle mobile radios and office based mobiles with integrated power supplies. Our radio receivers offer excellent sensitivity and have an outstanding reputation for interference free reception. On some versions of our latest models we can offer both conventional PMR and upgrade to trunking mode with a simple software upgrade. In addition, all Key Radio terminals feature a robust casing to shrug off the inevitable knocks that occur in day-to-day use, and are designed to be easy to operate whether you're out in the open, on the road or sitting at a desk in the office.

KM208 Series

VHF/UHF FM Mobile Radios

The KM208 mobile radio series sets new standards for functionality and performance. Models are available in a wide range of frequency bands from 30 to 520 MHz. They feature an easy to read back-lit display with large alphanumeric characters that indicate the current status at a glance. Operations are controlled using a simple built-in 16-key keypad.

Security is given high priority: on power up, the radio could require the user to enter their password number to prevent unauthorised use and the keyboard settings can be locked to avoid tampering. To ensure privacy for confidential messages, the voice inversion feature ensures that your conversation is unintelligible to unauthorised listeners.

Centralised management means that the KM208 can be completely disabled from the central base station.

KM3000 Series

VHF/UHF PMR & MPT1327 Trunked Mobile Radios

The KM3000 mobile radio series provides a full range of PMR and trunked features. Available in many speech and dedicated data versions, in frequency bands from 66MHz to 480MHz, this series is designed for all speech and data applications.

The KM3000 radios are user friendly, totally suitable for both simple and sophisticated solutions. GPS receiver option provides vehicle position information, with 2 serial ports and the MPT1327 FFSK or high speed GMSK modems available for data transfer. Full PMR options include selcall with up to 16 digit encode/decode, display of incoming identity, CTCSS, DCS and DTMF. Radios can be disabled remotely.

The KM3000 series has a large text display and can be controlled by a simple speaker/microphone with up/down buttons, or a full keypad microphone and separate loudspeaker.

KP209 Series

VHF/UHF Portable Radios

The KP209 series of hand portables is the ideal choice for conventional PMR, MPT1327 trunking, data communications and many specialist applications. They support a wide range of frequency bands from 30 to 520MHz.

Featuring a die cast chassis construction, the KP209 series is exceptionally rugged to cope with everyday use - yet they are conveniently small and lightweight. The alphanumeric LCD panel can display text for data or message paging, or alternatively show a user name or a channel number.

Operations are controlled using a simple built-in 16-key keypad. The KP209 Series is also available in an Intrinsically Safe version ideal for use in hazardous environments.

The broadband design allows you to program frequencies and other subscriber or network information directly from a PC for immediate use. KP209 radios can include a wide range of signalling formats, including CTCSS, DCS, ANI, 5-tone, DTMF and MPT1327. Key Radio Systems' software teams can configure the systems to suit your specific needs.

The KP209 series is powered by the latest Nickel Metal Hydride (NMH) high-capacity rechargeable batteries, which allow long periods of operation between battery charges, particularly when using battery saving techniques and the option of programming reduced transmitter power on selected channels. An extensive range of accessories is available, including leather cases, speaker microphones, six way chargers, spare batteries and programming kits etc.

The KP209 IS series of intrinsically safe hand portables is the ideal choice for conventional PMR and MPT1327 trunking voice and data communication applications in hazardous environments.

The KP209 IS intrinsically safe hand portable has been certified to both ATEX (Ex II 2 G EEx ib IIB T4) and CENELEC (EEx ib IIB T4) standards.

In the modern gas and oil industry reliable radio communications are essential to guarantee safety and maximise operational throughput. The KP209 IS has been designed to cope with everyday use in these arduous and hazardous environments and is a tough and lightweight unit which is extremely robust having a die cast metal housing.
